How to get to the EICC?

The EICC is located right in the heart of the city and within 10km (6 miles) of Edinburgh International Airport.

You’ll find official airport taxis at the taxi rank outside the terminal building. It costs approximately £15 to get a taxi from the airport to the city centre and the journey takes 20 minutes depending on the time of day.

Edinburgh Trams run between the Airport and York Place, in central Edinburgh, every 8-10 minutes Monday to Saturday. The closest tram stop to the EICC is at Haymarket Station.  The first tram from Edinburgh Airport departs at 06:15. Please visit Edinburgh Trams website for further information.

The Airlink 100 operates a frequent bus service (every 10 minutes at peak times) between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre, with designated stops en route. Delegates are advised to disembark at Haymarket Railway Station (the journey takes about 20 minutes) and to follow signs for EICC on foot (5 minute walk).

Edinburgh has two railway stations:

Haymarket is just a short walk (0.4 miles) from the EICC. When exiting Haymarket Station head right (east), towards the pedestrian crossing. Walk straight up Morrison Street for a few minutes and you will find the EICC on the left hand side.

Please ensure that you check with your rail network provider to find out if your train will stop at Haymarket or Waverley.

Waverley, which is located 1.3 miles from EICC, is the city’s main railway station and has direct routes to many cities across the country.

The EICC is a 20 minute walk from Waverley. The easiest route is:
– Exit Waverley via the north exit onto Princes Street
– Follow Princes Street west for 0.4 miles then turn left onto Lothian road.
– Follow Lothian road for 0.3 miles then turn right onto Morrison Street.
– Head down Morrison road for 0.2 miles and you will find the EICC on your right.

A taxi to the EICC will take about 10 minutes. There are two taxi ranks situated outside Waverley:

– Leave Waverley via the south exit onto Morrison street. Follow Morrison street left until you reach a fork in the road. Follow the left side of the fork (East Morrison street) and you will find the taxi rank.

– Leave Waverley via the west exit onto Waverley bridge and you will find the taxi rank.

The EICC is right in the centre of Edinburgh. The main entrance is 150 Morrison Street. For directions from your home or office visit and input EH3 8EE for the destination postcode.
